Station Center Redevelopment Project: Mayor Becker and the Redevelopment Agency (RDA) announced the “Station Center” project located in the Depot District. The project is envisioned to become the City’s premier mixed-use urban neighborhood with retail, commercial and residential developments in a public transit hub. www.slcrda.com. 4/6
Eccles Theater Update: The theater’s logo and one of its first shows was announced in a press conference with Mayor Becker and other leaders. The City is excited to announce The Lion King is coming. www.slcgov.com/news 3/30
City Earns #1 National Ranking in Jobs: A Gallup report named Salt Lake City the country’s top job creating city and says the City is growing as an attractive destination for tech workers with competitive salaries and low cost of living. Forbes Magazine said Salt Lake is “the new benchmark for business and quality of life.” www.slcgov.com/news 3/30
Google Fiber Announcement: Mayor Becker joined Google Fiber in announcing Salt Lake City has been picked to receive Google’s ultra-fast internet and TV services.
