BOARD ELECTIONS

Hello Liberty Wells neighbors,

Are you looking for a meaningful way to make a difference close to home? Do you ever feel like so much in the world is out of your control — but you stillwant to help create positive change? Serving on the Liberty Wells Community Council Board is one of the most direct and rewarding ways to do that.

We’re currently recruiting new board members, and we’d love to see more residents step into this important role.

Why join the board?

• Real influence over your neighborhood.
Board members help guide discussions on safety, development, parks, local services, transportation, and community events. When it feels like the big picture is overwhelming, local action is where your voice truly matters.

• Build community connections.
You’ll work with neighbors, city partners, community organizations, and local leaders. It’s a great way to meet people who care about Liberty Wells as much as you do.

• Help strengthen the future of our neighborhood.
From traffic calming to park improvements, from historic preservation to cultural events, board members help shape both short-term priorities and long-range planning.

• A simple but meaningful civic duty.
You don’t need special experience — just a commitment to show up, share ideas, and work collaboratively. The board benefits from people with all backgrounds, perspectives, and skill sets.

• Your voice matters here.
In a time when so much can feel out of reach, the LWCC board is a place where your effort has a real impact. This is one corner of the world where you can help steer the direction.

How nominations work

Nominations for board positions will be accepted during our November council meeting, with additional nominations accepted in December, when the official board vote will take place. If you're considering getting involved, this is the perfect time to raise your hand or nominate someone who would be a great advocate for the neighborhood.

Commitment

Board members attend the Board Meeting every second Tuesday at 7:00 pm, held at Liberty Elementary School.
They also participate in the Community Council Meeting every third Thursday at 7:00 pm at Tracy Aviary, working alongside neighbors and city partners to support neighborhood initiatives throughout the year.

If you’re interested, want more information, or would like to be considered for a board seat, please reach out at info@lwccslc.org.

Let’s continue building a vibrant, connected, and forward-looking Liberty Wells — together.

Thank you for considering this important role.
