Liberty Wells Boundaries

The Liberty Wells Community Council offers a format for community involvement, addressing crime prevention, developing neighborhood beautification and many other areas of concern and interest for residents and businesses.

Our boundaries are 900 South to 2100 South and from State Street to 700 East in Salt Lake City.

Meetings are held on the second Wednesday of every month at the Tracy Aviary Education Center in Liberty Park. Meetings begin at 7:00 pm. All are welcome and encouraged to attend.

7:00 PM Welcome and Announcements (5 min.) – 

  • Call to order and quorum.
  • Notice that this meeting is being live-streamed and recorded.
  • A recording of the September meeting may be found on Facebook.
  • Meeting ground rules.
  • What non-agenda topics would you like to discuss tonight? The final 15 minutes of the meeting have been set aside for this purpose. Bring your ideas and concerns.

7:15 PM Sentry Financial/Peter Corroon – an updated development proposal 400 East Cleveland Ave. This proposal was originally presented several months ago. A new plan is being presented. Mayara Lima a Planner from SLC will be attendance to answer questions also.

7:40 – Representative Joel Briscoe of House District 25, which encompasses this area will give us a sneak preview about the upcoming legislative session.

7:55 – Taylor Anderson, a resident of the community will talk about a citizen’s initiative to create a bicycle byway in Liberty Wells. We as the CC submitted a CIP request for funding to create this section. It is part of a larger proposal.

8:05 – Public Safety Report – Detective David King CIU officer for District 5

8:15 – Tim Cosgrove/SLC Mayor’s office
